Ar-Rayah and Al-Liwa are one of the many variations of the flag and
banner in Islam. The characteristic is the basic color is white and black. The
banner of the Prophet Muhammad's army was named Rayat Al-Uqab or Panji Elang
and the color was plain. But then all the black banners from Islamic forces
were also named Al-Uqab.
