Imam Mahdi

Imam Mahdi (Arabic الإمام المهدي, Al Imam Al-Mahdi, Mehdi; "Someone who guides") is a young Muslim who will be chosen by Allah to destroy all tyrany and uphold justice on earth before the coming of the Day of Judgment. It is said that he became an honest and fair leader using his abundant wealth for the progress of the people.

Imam Mahdi is actually a title name as well as the title of caliph, believing emir and so on. Imam Mahdi can be interpreted freely meaning "the leader who has been guided". In Arabic, the word Imam means "leader", while Mahdi means "one who gets a clue".

The real name as mentioned in the hadith, he was named Muhammad (as the name of the Prophet Muhammad), his father's name was the same as his father's name, namely Abdullah. So his real name is Muhammad bin Abdullah.

`According to the

apostle's explanation, which he received through revelation, that Mahdi was

said to have originated from the people of Muhammad, had a wide forehead, long

and sharp nose, and the age of the Caliphate was seven years old, and he was

still a descendant of Muhammad's grandchildren.

The appearance of

the Mahdi is not because of the willingness of the Mahdi Imam itself but

because God's destiny is certainly valid. In fact, he himself did not realize

that he was the Imam of the Mahdi but after Allah had revealed it in one night,

as stated in the following hadith: "Al-Mahdi comes from my people, who

will be revealed by Allah in one night. (Narrated by Ahmad and Ibn Majah)

The appearance of the Mahdi will be preceded by several signs as mentioned in several hadiths:

Mahdi will appear when there are many disputes between humans and the number of earthquakes.

Baitullah will be attacked by an army, but the center of the force will be swallowed up by the earth.

Someone will be pledged between Abraham's tomb and the Kaaba corner.

An army that came from the land of Syria to Baitullah to pursue a man protected by Allah.

In the hadith mentioned above Imam Mahdi will lead for 7 or 8 or 9 years. During his leadership, Imam Mahdi will bring the Muslims to fight tyranny, until one after another tyranny will fall under his rule.

The victory for the victory achieved by Imam Mahdi and his army  will infuriate the Dajjal, leaving him out of hiding, and trying to kill Imam Mahdi and his followers.

Then Allah will bring down Prophet Isa from the sky who is in charge of killing the Antichrist. Imam Mahdi and Prophet Isa will jointly fight the Dajjal and his followers, until the Dajjal dies speared by Prophet Isa at the "Door of Lud" in the Al-Aqsa complex.
